Privacy notice

Who we are
This website belongs to Miartech FZE (‘MIARTECH’, ‘we’), a free zone establishment with limited liability, licensed by the Dubai World Trade Centre Authority under licence L-1913, with its registered office at Sheikh Rashid Tower, Dubai World Trade Centre, P.O. Box 487177, Dubai, United Arab Emirates. We advise companies on technology and develop software for them. We decide how the information you send through this website is used: in data protection terms, we are its controller.
For anything about your information, use the enquiry form and choose ‘A legal or privacy request’, or write to us at the registered office.
What we collect
What you type into the enquiry form, which comes to us straight from you, with the page you sent it from and the time. To reply, we need your name and email address, your company (unless your request is a legal or privacy one) and a short description of what you need; for a tender, also its issuer and deadline. Everything else is optional: more detail about your request, your role, where you are based and how you found us. If you write about a job, we treat your message as an application.
You don’t have to give us anything, but without the details the form marks as required we can’t reply.
When you send the form, automated checks keep spam out. Cloudflare Turnstile looks at your IP address and technical details of your browser to tell a person from a program. The website limits how often one connection can send, in a minute and in a day. It counts under a one-way code made from the IP address, never the address itself, and deletes the daily counts after two days. It also checks that your email address’s domain receives mail, and marks messages that look like mass mailings for us to read with care. If Turnstile can’t run in your browser, the form still sends, once a day from one connection and a few times a day in all, and the message is marked.
Cloudflare, which hosts this website, processes your IP address and the details of each request, such as the page and the time, to deliver the site and protect it from attacks. Its dashboard shows us samples of these requests, with their IP addresses, for 31 days. We use them only to keep the site working and safe, never to identify visitors.
Cookies and storage
This website sets no cookies of its own and uses no analytics or advertising tools. If Cloudflare needs to check a connection before letting it in, it may set its own security cookie (cf_clearance) for that. The pages load their files, fonts included, only from this website itself. Cloudflare Turnstile, the check described above, comes from Cloudflare and loads only when you first click or tab into one of a form’s fields; Cloudflare explains what it processes in its Turnstile Privacy Addendum. If you switch between light and dark, your choice is kept in your browser until you close the tab, and it is never sent to us.
What we use it for
To reply to you and discuss your request; to prepare a proposal if you ask for one; to keep a record of what we discussed and agreed; and, for a job application, to assess it. We don’t use your information for marketing, and we don’t sell it. We use the technical details described above only to keep the website and the form secure. No decision with legal or similarly significant effects on you is made automatically: the checks only stop or mark a message, and a person reads every enquiry that arrives.
Our legal basis
Under the EU and UK GDPR, we rely on our legitimate interest in answering business enquiries and preparing proposals for the organisations people write for; when you write for yourself or about a job, on steps you asked us to take before a possible contract. Under the UAE Personal Data Protection Law, the processing is needed to take steps you asked for towards a contract. Under Saudi Arabia’s Personal Data Protection Law, we rely on our legitimate interest in answering enquiries and job applications. When you make a privacy request, we use your details because the law requires us to answer it. The spam checks rest on the same grounds and, under the EU and UK GDPR, also on our legitimate interest in keeping the form secure. We have assessed and recorded that interest, as the Saudi regulations require.
Your right to object
Where we rely on our legitimate interest, you can object at any time, on grounds relating to your situation, to our using your information. We will then stop, unless we have compelling legitimate grounds that override your interests, rights and freedoms, or we need the information to establish, exercise or defend legal claims. To object, use the enquiry form and choose ‘A legal or privacy request’.
Who sees it
The people at Miartech FZE who handle enquiries. Cloudflare, Inc. hosts this website, runs the security check and delivers each enquiry to our mailbox by email; for that it acts on our instructions, under its data processing addendum. To improve Turnstile, Cloudflare also uses the check’s technical data as a controller in its own right, as its Turnstile Privacy Addendum explains. Our mailbox is iCloud Mail, kept by Apple. Otherwise we share your information only when the law requires it, or with our professional advisers, who are bound by confidentiality.
Where it is kept
We work from the United Arab Emirates, so your information is processed there and, if you write to us from another country, outside that country. The European Commission has not recognised the UAE as giving adequate protection.
Cloudflare’s network runs in many countries: your enquiry passes through the Cloudflare data centre nearest to you on its way to us, the website’s daily counts are kept in the European Union, and Cloudflare processes the records of this traffic for us in the United States and Europe. Cloudflare is certified under the EU-U.S. Data Privacy Framework, and its data processing addendum includes the European Commission’s standard contractual clauses, with the UK addendum. You can ask us for a copy of Cloudflare’s safeguards. Our mailbox is iCloud Mail: Apple keeps it in its own data centres and those of other providers, may process it in the United States, and handles it under its iCloud terms.
How long we keep it
Enquiries that don’t lead to work: deleted within 12 months of our last message. Job applications: deleted within 6 months of our decision. If we work together, our correspondence becomes part of the project record and is kept for as long as the contract and the law require.
The website itself keeps no copy of your enquiry: it passes it on to our mailbox by email and keeps only the counts described above, and for seven days a log of each outcome (sent, refused, failed) without your details. Cloudflare’s email service keeps a record of each delivery for about a month, with the time and the subject line, which names the kind of request and usually your company. Deleting an enquiry means removing it from our mailbox; iCloud Mail keeps a deleted message in its Trash for 30 days, then erases it.
Your rights
Depending on where you are, you can ask us to tell you what we hold about you and how we use it, to give you a copy, to correct or delete it, to restrict how we use it, and to send it to another organisation in a common format. Rights about decisions made automatically don’t arise here, because we make no such decisions.
To ask, use the enquiry form and choose ‘A legal or privacy request’, or write to the registered office. We acknowledge your request within two working days and answer it in full within 28 days.
You can complain to us in the same way: we acknowledge a complaint within 30 days and tell you what we have done about it.
You can also complain to a data protection authority: in the European Union, the authority where you live, work or think the problem arose; in the United Kingdom, the Information Commission (until September 2026, the Information Commissioner’s Office); in the United Arab Emirates, the UAE Data Office; in Saudi Arabia, the Saudi Data and AI Authority (SDAIA); elsewhere, the authority in your country.
